NICU360 is an educational reference for neonatal intensive care teams. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it lives, and the choices you have. NICU360 shows no ads, sells no data, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
How to delete your NICU360 account and data
Account: signing in uses Better Auth with Convex. We receive your email address and name from the sign-in provider you choose. An account is optional — the library and all calculators work without one.
Profile: details you add yourself (role, workplace, experience, bio, handle, gender used for your avatar art, and an optional profile photo) are stored with your account and shown where you choose to participate. If you sign in with Google, its profile photo is used until you upload or remove a photo in NICU360.
Community content: discussion submissions and comments are stored with your account. Submissions remain private until approved by the NICU360 team; approved posts and comments are shown with your profile name and avatar. Votes and Hot Take reactions are stored with your account; only combined totals are shown to others.
Community safety: text submitted to community areas is automatically screened for abusive language and spam. Signed-in members can report content and block another member; blocking hides that member’s comments and community discussions from the blocker.
Calculator history, bookmarks, calculator ordering, and appearance preferences stay in local storage on your device. They are not uploaded, except calculator ordering which syncs to your account when you are signed in so your layout follows you across devices.
Your sign-in session tokens are kept in your device’s secure keystore.
NICU360 records a pseudonymous installation ID, app opens, screen views, device platform, and the support entry point and purchase outcome (started, completed, or failed). This helps us understand which parts of the app are useful and detect payment problems on supported devices. It does not include calculator inputs, patient information, contribution amount, or payment details. Activity is associated with your account only while you are signed in.
The app uses Sentry for crash reporting and performance monitoring. When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, a report containing the error, app version, and device model is sent so problems can be fixed. A small random sample of app-performance timings (about 1 in 10 sessions) is also sent to catch slowdowns. None of this is used for advertising or profiling.
Push notifications are optional and off until you enable them. You can turn them off at any time in Profile → Notifications or in system settings. Signed-in accounts also keep an in-app notification inbox, including read and dismissed state.
Account-linked data and authentication sessions are stored with self-hosted Convex. Resend delivers one-time sign-in codes, and Sentry processes crash and performance diagnostics. These services are accessed over encrypted connections (TLS) and act only as service providers for NICU360.
NICU360 is not designed to store patient records. Calculator inputs are processed on your device; values you type are kept only in your local calculator history, which you can clear by clearing the app’s data. Do not enter patient-identifiable information anywhere in the app, including discussions.
Account-linked data is kept while your account is active so NICU360 can provide sign-in, profiles, synced preferences, community participation, notifications, and account-linked analytics. Current server records are deleted when you delete your account, except for the anonymized community material described below.
One-time sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Resend retains email delivery data for 30 days. Sentry retains crash and performance diagnostic events for no more than 90 days.
Pseudonymous usage analytics that are not linked to an account do not have a fixed automatic expiry. They are kept while NICU360 operates the service and needs them to measure usage, reliability, and purchase outcomes, and are deleted when no longer needed. They do not contain calculator inputs, patient information, contribution amounts, or payment details.
Data stored only on your device remains there until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Access-controlled backups may retain server data temporarily for disaster recovery or migration rollback and are deleted when no longer needed for those purposes. Backups are not used for normal processing; if a backup is restored, completed deletion requests are reapplied.
In the app: sign in, open Profile, select Delete account, and confirm. NICU360 immediately deletes your current account and authentication record. This action cannot be undone.
Outside the app: if you cannot access NICU360, email [email protected] from the email address used to sign in with the subject “Delete my NICU360 account.” Include only your sign-in email address. Never send a password, one-time code, or patient information. We may ask you to verify account ownership and will complete a verified request within 30 days.
Account deletion removes your profile and profile photo, pending discussion and event submissions, comments, votes, reactions, reports, blocks, synced calculator ordering, push tokens, personal notifications, account-linked analytics, and authentication record from current systems. A previously approved discussion may remain as an anonymous community post credited to “Former NICU360 member”; it no longer contains your name or account identifier. Local device data is removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.
NICU360 is an educational and community app intended for adults in the neonatal care community. It is not directed to children.
